The Digital Media Commons Welcomes April Sapp to University Libraries

University Libraries has hired April Sapp as multimedia specialist in the Digital Media Commons (DMC). In this role, Sapp will coordinate evening services for the DMC and provide consultations to faculty, staff and students in using its technology and resources.

The DMC provides space, technology and expertise to faculty, staff and students who are creating multimedia assignments, as well as group and individual instruction on using digital technology based on the patron's needs.

While Sapp is the newest member of the DMC, she is no stranger to Jackson Library. She has been working for the Digital ACT Studio (DACTS) as a digital media consultant since 2018. DACTS supports faculty, staff and students in their effective creation of digital projects through consultations and workshops, and is one of three Multiliteracy Centers located on the campus of UNC Greensboro, along with the Writing Center and the University Speaking Center.

Sapp holds a bachelor of science degree in information systems and supply chain management from UNCG's Bryan School of Business and Economics and is currently completing her master of science degree in information technology and management at UNCG.
