2018 Entrepreneurial Librarian Conference

UNC Greensboro librarians participated in the Conference for Entrepreneurial Librarians that was held on October 12, 2018, at WAKE Downtown in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

In its sixth run, the conference's careful planning was a collaborative effort between UNCG's University Libraries and Wake Forest University's Z. Smith Reynolds Library. This year's theme focused on growth, leadership and change in librarianship. 

Presenters at the conference included UNCG librarians Amy Harris Houk and Maggie Murphy, who presented, "The ROI of ROI Outreach.," Samantha Harlow and Lea Leininger, who presented, "Librarians Developing and Implementing Community Health Literacy Workshops," and Jenny Dale and Maggie Murphy who presented, "The Future Is Already Here: Intern Training for Next-Generation Academic Librarians."

Mike Crumpton, associate professor and assistant dean for administrative services served as co-chair of the planning committee, along with Kathryn Crowe, associate professor and associate dean for public services, and David Gwynn, associate professor and digital projects coordinator.
